BOEKOELOEKOE frikandel



Make your own vegetarian Dutch specialty “frikandel”. You need a small baking tray for this, for instance a small baking tray for a cake.


1] Grate the cheese, cut the onion and mix these with the rest of the ingredients (see front of the package) and this herbal mix. Make a smooth mixture.

2] Pre-heat the oven at 150 degrees.

3] Take a baking tray and cover it with baking paper, including the sides and make it tight in the corners.

4] Put the mixture in a baking tray for approximately 3 cm in height and spread it out evenly.

5] Prepare the mixture in the oven for 20 minutes You can add a small pot of water, so the mixture becomes extra soft. You can use a spoon or fork to check the mixture and if it is set enough, before you take it out of the oven. It can differ per oven how long the mixture should bake, before it is set enough that you can make shapes.

6] Let the mixture cool and remove it from the baking tray. Cut it into short, or long shaped rectangles

7] Fry the rectangles for 1 to 2 minutes at 170 degrees.
